It’s also known as factor of production.

Economists usually divide resources into three types as land, labor and capital. In a broad description,

§ Land includes both land itself and natural resources such as metal oil coal and anything taken from the earth.

§ Labor include not only working hours but also knowledge

§ Capital is material or physical resources used to facilitate production such as building, machine paper and desk.

Then comes the scarcity

In economics a good is scarce if not enough of its available to put to every conceivable use without sacrificing something else.

If any good is available more than any ones needs and wants, or more goods can be consume without sacrificing anything else that good is abundant. As an example air is abundant because we have more than enough air to go around, no one will have to sacrifice anything to obtain air to breath.

The exchange of resources

Anyone can own any resource in any quantity but that doesn’t mean that people can satisfy all their needs and wants by them. So to overcome this problem the multipurpose scare resources are exchange between various inputs and satisfying overall needs and wants.

The method of exchanging resources have come to this day by passing simple self sufficient household system and exchanging of goods between specialized household purchasers. And later with the use of an exchange medium, resources are exchange more easily within the units. This made the path to use money as an exchange medium. This the main method which uses up to this day.

As example middle-eastern countries has a problem of finding skilled labor. This is solving by imported unemployed labor from other south Asian countries.

In the other hand some of the south Asian countries imports crude oil from middle-eastern countries

In this example we can clearly identify that both countries has satisfy their needs and wants (one with labor and other with land) by the method of exchanging.

In both cases money has being used has the medium of exchange.

For selling labor south Asian countries get paid by wages and where as for selling oil middle-eastern countries get money payments. Both countries get an income.

Income and the purchasing power

An income becomes an expense to satisfy human needs. in a world of exchanging everything with a medium; everything is determined by a price.

High income owner can consume luxury items or even can porches larger amounts of goods and services to satisfy their needs.

Each household has at any moment in time limited buying power. Most of us are able to buy a small fraction of goods and services we would like to enjoy.

How these determine made?

How does the household decide any product available will be bought?

The basic assumption of economic theory is that each household will tend to allocate its expenditure among goods and services available to it in such way to maximize the satisfaction derivable from its limited budget. Households will buy the combination of products that provides with highest possible level of satisfaction if it had more money to spend it could enjoy even greater satisfaction by within limited buying power.

Production at lowest possible cost

In the first place firms should be producing its output at the lowest possible cost to the society, given the available technology. That is each product should be produce at the lowest possible sacrifice of the other products, or as economist often phrases it, the lowest possible opportunity cost .if such not the case society is not maximizing its satisfactions.

Analysing the environment

Need to analyse the environment?

Environment is the place where the business exists. This helps him to a picture of the place where he invests the money. This better understanding helps him to face opportunities and well as keep ready to the future facts that he has to face. Whatever you do there should be a plan “B” to protect yourself from failure. Think of a place that you decide to visit. You can decide the destination; decide the way to reach the destination and the medium of the travel. For example if you want to meet your girl friend at the park in the evening. You may decide to go by bus. But once you come to the road you realise there are no buses in the road because of a general strike. What will you do next to reach your destination \ goal to meet the girl friend? Will you forget about the girl friend and return home? Will you break her heart? Probably not, if you are honest. You will reach the park either by a taxi or even by walking. In this case plan “B” was the key drive to the goal. Plan “B” saves you to reach the point of your choice.

But in some cases plan “B” can help you to reach not to the dream goal but to a point where you can feel happy. A student had a dream of becoming a doctor to treat ill people. Here his goal in wider meaning or else the mission was to treat ill people. This was followed by a target of becoming a doctor. But his exam results were not enough for medical school. But his plan “B” was to train as a nurse. Either he wasn’t a doctor this still made him to treat ill people.

A millionaire businessman was asked to explain his secret of success. He got a work in a restaurant has a dish washer. He hardly collect his money and start a book selling business on a road side. Business increases and later he became a millioner. How many times you have heard stories similar to this? I have heard so many stories of people who became successful after they left there own home.

I think the success theory comes with the environment They get success once they change the environment they used to live. The environment they used to live earlier may be dominated by negative thinking people who dose not live with a life goal. But once they leave the environment they achieve there destinations naturally. Change the enviornment you use to live at least avoid the people with negative thoughts and widen your mind.

Potato Chips Fortune!

In everything in this world has a story behind. From what we eat what to what we drink there can be a story witch can give an ultimate idea of what we can get for our future. How many of you thought of the birth story of potato chips? How many of you know that potato chips came to be an invention of a mistake? This story goes to the summer of 1853. George Crum a native American was employed as a chef for a resort in New York. A stupid guest complaint that the French fries are too thick and rejected the order. Crum decide to surve the customer with a frie thin crisp by skewer with a fork. Crums main idea was to rile the guess. But surprisingly guess ecstatic for the new taste he get to know and order another dish. All the other diners request for Crum's potato chips.

Seven years later in 1860 George Crum opened his own restaurant. basket of potato chips were placed on every table of the restaurant. Potato chips became so popular. Many more potato chip restaurants opened all over America during the following years.

Your fortune can be hidden some where with your mistakes or with your natural thoughts. Always be in open mind because hidden fortune can be shown to you at any given time.

Simple life of Warren Buffett

Do anyone know about Warren Edward Buffett? Till very recently he was the second richest man in the world. first i heard of him by a chain mail.It says he is the second richest person to Bill Gates.I was amazed what it said about his life. Normally we know milliners spent money like millions for there cribs, vehicles, vacation security or nothing but to show off there money. But Warren Buffett still lives in the old house witch he bought in 1957 and driving an old car.He doesn't even have regular meetings with his business executives.

Now he is the 3rd richest after the arrival of Slim Carlos. Born to howard Buffett and leila Buffett in On August 30th 1930. In 1956 at the age of 26 he formed his first investment partnership, with $105,000. This amount include $1000 his own. all others were from family and friends in Omaha. On the cover page of August 6th U.S News magazine it says if you invest $1000 with warren Buffett in 1956, you'd have $27 million today. Talking about Buffett its a must to talk about his heavy donations. He donate $37bn (£20bn) to Bill Gates' charitable foundation.Mr Buffett said "There's never really been any other plan in terms of where the money should go."

NIKE-perfect combination made it all

Each of us has a special talent for something.some shows a talent for sport while some has a talent for management....etc. Think of getting together with another talented person!

$ We can share are knowledge
$ We can complete our weaknesses
$Even we can share the risk

It can be fortune to have a combination of two talents. Make a clear GOAL that you wish to achieve. The GOAL can be far away from your present status. But make a big, realistic unthinkable GOAL!!! Simply THINK BIG!!

At present you might earn 1000 bucks a month, you might live in a two bed room apartment and you might also may using an old dirty car. OK forget about it. Open your mind to your own dreams. I repeat THINK BIG!!

DON'T EVER ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS IN AN UNLAWFUL MANNER!!!
This is the number one rule that i suggest for you. Sometimes it might be hard to achieve in a correct way but it gives you a peace full concrete structure for your future so make it clear not to attain in any unlawful act.

Follow these steps
$First dream what you want to get,Dream about the house you want to live, the car witch you want to drive, the income you want to get and the place you want to visit during the summer vacation....etc.

$Buy a blank book and write them on it.

$Search for information witch is usefull for your GOALS. As an example Collect pictures of your dream car, Read about Luxury Houses, watch TV programs Witch shows programs about celebrities who spent there money like nothing,Search on the internet,Read business biographies.....etc.
paste the pictures of your dream car or house on the blank book. these pictures can be easily found through magazines and news papers. The main reason for doing this is that VISUALS can make a great inpact to your mind.

$Live on your DREAMS!! if you want to be a millioner then act like a millioner (walk like a millioner, talk like a milloner)
observe other people who has achieved your GOALS. If they feel free make some advises or talk with them. This can help you alot

$Good GOAL needs to have a time period. Decide a reasonable time like 10 years or 15 years. Devide your time into segmenand achieve them. Think of a single day. Reach the goal of that day.

Can GOALS make a big difference?
Answer is YES. Let me explain. Better management can give you a clear picture on how the income has generated and how they have spent. Don't ever spend your money without a limit. People need money for four basic needs.
1) Food,Clothing,Transport or fixed expenses like bills

2) Expenses like witch we used to spent in a future time. as an example to spent during the Christmas vacation or more importantly to re-invest.

3) Life is not predictable. future will not be always a smooth ride. its really important to have a save amount of money with you.

There is a simple and fantastic way to spend your money. This can be also applied for your business,
Divide your INCOME into four parts. Meaning each part will include 25%
Davide the parts under THREE spending categories like as bellow.
$ DAY TO DAY EXPENSES
$ RE-INVEST
$ EMERGENCY USE
an important thing to remember is the ratio. The ratio should be as 1:2:1

DAY TO DAY EXPENSES : RE-INVEST : EMERGENCY USE

Ratio 1 : 2 : 1

As an amount of 25%
group 25% : 50% : 25%

as an example if a person gets a monthly income of $10,000 he can easily divide his salary to $2500 for DAY TO DAY EXPENSES, $ 5000 for RE-INVEST and $2500 for EMERGENCY USE.

OK now you might think how to deal with a person who gets $10,000 who has fixed expenses of $7000. NO problem because you still gets $3000 of savings, witch you can spent according to the above ratio.
To make it easy open THREE separate SAVINGS ACCOUNT from a same BANK for each expense. Then give a STANDING ORDER to the bank. When each time your salary goes to the bank it will automatically DEPOSITS on each account.

Now lets talk about the important of this RATIO.
$ This gives a clear picture on your expenses. witch will not hesitate you in a spending.

$ This RATIO covers every need of our lives.

$ Last but least the most important secret is with the RE-INVEST segment. It dominates 50% of the entire amount. As i mentioned earlier RE-INVEST can be use as an income generator. The more you invest more the amount you get as an return income. The more the income the more you get to spend on DAY TO DAY EXPENSES and save for EMERGENCY USE.
This RATIO can be useful for any person or an organisation.

Try this secret MONEY MANAGING RATIO. make a change to your life guarantee by FUTURE SEEKERS.

INCOME - EXPENCES = SAVINGS

Money....Money....Money..............! the only thing on earth witch dose not fulfill our needs. there is no doubt that earning money is important but is that enough? Why every person who earns dose not have the same qualities of life? Is it depend on the LUCK?
I haven't seen money trees witch grows money, But can we grow money & pic them like fruits?
well your saving can act as money beans?
OK not joking you follow this,

INCOME - EXPENSES = SAVINGS

this theory is cool if your INCOME is GREATER than your EXPENSES.
don't worry there are TWO beautiful ways to INCREASE your SAVINGS.

Before lets go back to our THEORY.

INCOME - EXPENSES = SAVINGS

SAVINGS are the most IMPORTANT, Let me explain this from the LEFT hand side. INCOME is the sum of amount you get from your JOB or CURRENT BUSINESS in order to fulfill your work. actually its an EXCHANGE material. EXPANSES are things we do to complete are NEEDS. it takes our PRECIOUS INCOME away from US.
SAVINGS are the DIFFERENCE of INCOME & EXPENSE.

now lets go back to the TWO beautiful ways to INCREASE your SAVINGS
First way is to CUT DOWN EXPENSES
Second way is to INCREASE INCOME

CUT DOWN EXPENSES
your own bad management makes -SAVINGS. In order to make +SAVINGS cut down unwanted expenses.
start from small things like getting down your electricity bill by switching off an extra light or QUIT SMOKING.....etc

INCREASE INCOME
I know you might think how to increase your INCOME through MONTHLY SALARY!!
use your SAVINGS to increase your INCOME.
simply re-invest your SAVINGS.
INVEST on the STOCK MARKET, GIVE them as LOANS to a friend, START A NEW BUSINESS or nothing else DEPOSIT TO YOUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT.

THEORY WORKS in two ways. NOW i would LIKE to take IT FROM the RIGHT SIDE.
RE-INVESTING SAVINGS as an EXPENSE and you GET an INCOME.
its a CHAIN REACTION.
HOPE YOU GOT IT, THIS MIGHT LOOK STUPID.....! BUT ITS TRUE...
PLEASE CONTACT US FOR ANY DETAILS.
WITH LOVE FROM FUTURE SEEKERS!!!!!!!!

Take loans but only to inveast

Most business people get bankrupt with there loans because of mismanaging loans. If you take a loan first thing you must remember is to spend that amount only for the business purpose. You will end up in a great trouble if you spent those for your personal use.

For example you have to return each dollar you have lent. Therefore it is a must to spend them on a return investment. Then what about student loans? Well student loans are not only for a consumer purpose. It is the potential ability to influence the behavior of others.

There are five typical resources of power.

Power

Position power Personal power
Legitimate Expert
Reward Referent
Coercive

Position power
Traditional manager’s power comes from the organization. Power gives to reward or punished subordinates I order to influence there behavior.

Legitimate power
Power comes from the formal management position in an organization and authority granted to it.
Example- supervisor

Reward power
Stems from the authority, bestow rewards on other people.
Managers have access to formal rewards pay increases or promotions.
Managers can use reward to influence subordinates behavior.

Coercive power
This is the opposite of reward power. Refers to the authority to punish or recommend punishment. They have right to fire or demote employees or withdraw pay increase.

Personal power
Personal power comes from the internal sources. These are the person’s special knowledge or personal characteristics. Personal power is the tool of the leader. Subordinates follow the leader because of the respect. This has become important because businesses are run by team works. Who are less tolerant of authoritarian management.

Expert power
This is the power that stems from the special knowledge of skills in the task performed by subordinates. Leader is a true expert and subordinates follow the recommendable.

Referent power
Power that result from characteristics that command subordinates. Identify with respect and admiration.

Perspectives of leadership
Leadership has being contemplated since the days of Greek philosophers and it is one of the most popular research topics among organizational behavioral scholars.
Leadership can be split into five perspectives,
Competency (traits) perspectives
Behavioral
Contingency
Transformational
Romance

Some perspectives are more popular than others. Each helps us to more fully understand this complex issue.

Some suggest traits or competency of great leaders. Others looked at there behaviors.
Over the last 80 years number of different theories and approaches to studying leadership developed.

Behavioral and contingency approaches
Behavioral approaches
In 1940’s and 19850’s Ohio state university launched an intensive research investigation to answer the question what behaviors make leaders effective. Both autocratic and democratic styles suggest that it is the behavior of the leader rather than personality traits that determine leadership effectiveness. Any leader can adopt the correct behavior with appropriate training.

These studies along with similar research university of Michigan and Harward University
Distilled two clusters of leadership behaviors, from more than 1800 leadership behavior items.

Looking at leaders in terms of what they do seeks to explain leadership in terms of who leaders are. A leader is shown by person’s acts more than by his traits.

People-oriented
Task –oriented

People-oriented
Mutual trust and respect for subordinates, demonstrating genuine concern for their needs and having a desire to look out for there welfare.
Listen to employee suggestions
Do personal favor for employees
Support there interest when required
Treat employees as equal

Task –oriented
Included behaviors that define structure work roles. Assign employees to specific task, clarify their work duties and procedures, and ensure that they follow company rules. Push them to reach there performance capacity. Establish stretch goals and challenge employees to push beyond high standards.

People-oriented vs. Task –oriented
People oriented leadership is associate with higher job satisfaction among subordinates. And as well as lower absenteeism, grievances and turnover. Job performance tends to be lower.

Task oriented seems to increase productivity and team unity. With lower job satisfaction higher absenteeism and turnover among subordinates.

Today’s leadership work force is less respective to command and control leadership. Employees want to participate in decisions.

Both are independent of each other
Some are higher or lower in both
Others are higher or lower in one
Most are in between
Most effective leaders show high levels of both and people oriented behaviors. From this hypothesis developed a popular leadership called leadership grip.

Contingency approaches
It is based on the idea that the most appropriate leadership style depends on the situation. This assumed that both effective leaders must be both insightful and flexible. Must be able to adopt there their behaviors and styles to the immediate situation. Contingency approach also known as the situational approach define leadership in terms of his ability to handle a given situation.

This special leadership style is more contingence upon three situational factors,
v Characteristics of subordinates
v Environmental factors
v Path goal theory

Characteristics of subordinates-
The leadership style should be compatible with the follower’s ability, experience, needs, motivations and personality. People are more satisfy if they feel that it happen to their own leadership style. If people believe that what happens to them is a matter of chance or luck.

Environmental factors-
The environmental factors are the factors beyond the control of subordinates. But effecting their satisfaction or there ability to perform effectively.

Path goal theory-
This state that effective leaders influence employee satisfaction and performance by making their need satisfaction contingency on effective job performance.

Example-
Top executives of a large organization are going in there limousine to meet the president of another large company at some distance. On the way the limousine breaks down many miles from the town. Who takes the charge of the situation? Who becomes the situational leader? Not the executives but the driver of the car who knows the repairs. But once they arrive at the meeting the driver surrenders his authority and becomes a subordinate again.

Leadership styles
The leadership style can be classified according to the philosophy of the leaders. The styles of the leadership are a relatively enduring set of behaviors witch is a charismatic of the individual regardless of the situation. Some of the more leadership more leadership styles are as follows,
v Autocratic / Dictatorial leadership
v Particitipative / Democratic leadership
v Laissez-faire / Free-reign leadership

Autocratic / Dictatorial leadership
Keeping the full authority of decision making and assume full responsibility for all actions. Entire work station is structured by them and expect the workers to follow there orders and tolerate no deviation from there orders. Leader believes that his leadership is base upon authority.

Particitipative / Democratic leadership
In this type of leadership, are consulted and there feedback is taken into the decision making process. Even though the leader makes the final decision and takes the responsibility, he works as a moderator. Management believes that subordinates have talent to make ideas and bring new methodologies to the work setting.

Laissez-faire / Free-reign leadership
In this type leader is just a figure head and dose not give any directions but dedicates the authority to subordinates so that they must plan, motivate, control and otherwise be responsible for their own actions. Leader acts as an liaison between the group.

Factors effecting leadership style
There can be many factors that effect leadership. But some are important such as,
o corporate culture
o nature of task
o ability skills and knowledge of subordinates
o superiors expectation

Corporate culture
These are specific collection of values and norms that are shared by people and groups in an organization It is a key determinant of staff satisfaction, intention to stay and whether staff recommend their organizational to others as good place to work
Control the way they interact with each other and with stakeholders outside the organization.
Beliefs and ideas about what kinds of goals members of an organization should pursue and ideas about the appropriate kind are organizational values

Nature of task
Task is a set of actions which accomplish a job, problem or assignment.Task can be different from one organization to another and as well as from different working groups.

Ability skills and knowledge of subordinates
Subordinates skills and knowledge are really important to an organization. Skilled to take risk and knowledge to make better decisions from number of alternatives makes an effective leadership.

Superior’s expectation
Expectation is what is considered the most likely to happen. Superior’s expectation is some what like a belief that is centered on the future, may or may not be realistic about the organization. Something happens un-expected it is a surprise. More the Superior’s expectation is logical and realistic more will be the effect from the leadership.

Discussion about organizations

By future seekers I would like to discuss about Organization, Organizational structure, Management levels of an organization, Decisions & there Important.
Further about Decision making process and Example

Organization
Simply an organization is a group of people who work interpedently toward some purpose. But over the years many scholars have describe an organization in many ways.

Organizations have being exist for long as people as work together. For example archeologists have discovered massive temples dating back 3500 B.C that was constructed by organized actions of people. In a world of million human needs it is impossible to live by individuals, where organized community makes impossible a reality.
Over the years many scholars have describe what an organization is.

According to Sheldon,
“Organization is the process of so combining the work, witch individuals or groups have to perform with facilities necessary for its execution, that the duties so performed provide the best channels for the efficient, systematic, positive and coordinated application of the available effort”

According to Gary Johns,
“Organizations are social inventions for accomplishing goals through group effort”

This definition widely describes an organization as a group effort. These groups can be in anywhere from businesses, schools, hospitals, religious bodies, government agencies and the like.

Further analysis of Gary John’s definition gives significant requirements for an organization,
social inventions
accomplishing goals
group effort

Social inventions
The word “social” a derivative of society, basically means gathering of people as against plants, machines, buildings. Though other things remain an organization will no longer exist without people. For an example organization will end if all the employees of an organization resign. But there can be organizations with only represent of people like charity clubs & societies. There for it is the people that primarily make up the organization.

Accomplishing goals
An organization is not a group of people at a given place. They have common goals and coordinating efforts to achieve these goals. They have reasons for there existence, these reasons are the goals toward witch all organization efforts are directed.
According to above definition a further analysis can be given as an example as follows,
A group of people in a supermarket would not be consider as an organization even they all have the same goal witch is shopping.

Group effort
People formed groups to go hunting and protect there families from intruders from the very beginning of human era. People as individuals & as well as part of the community interact with each other and inter-dependent. Man alone can accomplish so little because of so many physiological and societal constraints place upon him. Technology complexities tend to work as groups in modern days.

Organizational structure
Organizational structure refers to the organization arranges people and jobs so that its work can be performed and its goals can be met. This is the division of labor as well as the pattern of coordination, communication, work flow and formal power that direct organizational activities.

In an organization structure various parts are tied together in a coordinated manner and it illustrates the various relationship among various levels of the hierarchy within the organization as well as horizontal relationship among various aspects of the organization operations.

When a work group is very small and face-to-face communication is frequent, formal structure may be unnecessary, but in a larger organization decisions have to be made about the delegation of various tasks. Thus, procedures are established that assign responsibilities for various functions. It is these decisions that determine the organizational structure.

Management levels of an organization
The management body is also divided in an organization structure. They are organizational members who are responsible for the work performance of other organization. In any form of organization there can be three levels of manager’s
(Top-level, middle-level, and first-level) witch can take a form of a pyramid.

Top managers-
Top-level managers or top managers are the individuals at the top one or two levels in an organization, can have titles such as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operational Officer (COO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chairperson of the Board, President, Vice president, Corporate head.

Top managers do not direct the day-to-day activities of the firm. Top-level managers make decisions affecting the entire the firm. They do not direct the day-to-day activities of the firm. Main function is to set goals for the organization and direct the company to achieve them. Top managers are ultimately responsible for the performance of the organization, and often, these managers have very visible jobs.

Middle managers-
These are managers in the levels below top managers. Their job titles can come in General manager, Plant manager, Regional manager, and Divisional manager.

Responsible for carrying out the goals set by top management. They do so by setting goals for their departments and other business units. Middle managers can motivate and assist first-line managers to achieve business objectives.
First line managers-
First-level managers are also called first-line managers or supervisors. There job titles can be as Office manager, Shift supervisor, Department manager, Foreperson, Crew leader, Store manager.

Typically do not set goals for the organization; they have a very strong influence on the company. First-line managers are responsible for the daily management of line workers—the employees who actually produce the product or offer the service

Decisions & there Important
Decisions are the actions making by an individual, group or an organization to achieve a certain strategy. In a wide description, decisions are made by anyone as an example a person might decide to make a choice between two alternative goods to buy.

A main feature of these decisions is that they represent the goal of the decision maker. And decisions can make totally different out put of any environment.

To explain this I would like to take a real life example,
During the 1st world war Nazi leader Hitler had a goal of invading the entire world. There for he declared war against allied countries. Although he failed his goal it gave a totally different result to the world like declaring independence to colonial countries, new technologies.

Managers have formal authority to use organizational resources and to make decisions.
Not only the managers almost all the employees in an organization make decisions to up to there authority. Decisions are the make an organization keep moving according to there strategies.

In each hierarchy of managers have different managerial roles like as decisional roles and interpersonal roles.

In decisional roles managers has to plan strategy and utilize resources. Under decisional roles there are four basic requirements.

Entrepreneur role- This is mainly handles by top-level managers. Mainly concern about developing innovative goods and services, or to expand a business.

Disturbance handler- Managers at all levels may take this role. Mangers have to correct unanticipated problems facing the organization from the internal or external environment.

Resource allocate- Involves determining which work units will get which resources. Managers have authority to make decisions up to there level. For example Top managers are likely to make large, overall budget decisions, while middle mangers may make more specific allocations.

Negotiator works- This is come under work with others like stakeholders, such as suppliers, distributors, or labor unions, to reach agreements regarding products and services.

Decision making process
In any form of a business would have problems witch have to solve in order to go further. Problem solving and decision-making are important skill for a business. This often involves decision-making, and decision-making is a process where especially important for management and leadership.

By the managers view it is a complex and important responsibility. There are several processes and techniques to improve decision-making and the quality of decisions. One of the key ways of decision making is the rational model.

Steps for the rational model as follows,
v Identifying problems
v Identifying decision criteria
v Allocating weight to the criteria
v Developing alternatives
v Analyzing alternatives
v Selecting alternatives
v Implementing the decisions
v Evaluating decision

Identifying problems-
First managers have to be aware of the problem. Problems can come in different angels where a problem for one manager will not be a problem for another. It is important to understand the correct problem among the symptoms of the problem. This is the most important step resolve, if not it will not done an effect to the problem.

Identifying decision criteria-
Secondly managers have to decide what are relevant in a decision. The factors witch is relevant to the problem can be cost, financing…

Allocating weight to the criteria-
Study the alternatives and compare them with list of criteria. The criteria’s can be money, time and other resources.

Developing alternatives-
Mangers can make alternatives for existing problems. For example to reduce transport cost managers can make a decision to buy a new vehicle or borrow from someone else.

Analyzing alternatives-
Each alternative is list under the above three steps to identify strengths and weaknesses. Each alternative is rank before the next step.

Selecting alternatives-
This is the step where managers have to select the best alternatives witch given from the previous step.

Implementing the decisions-
The chosen alternative decision has to implement.

Evaluating decision-
At the last step managers has to see weather the problem has resolved or not. Modifications and changes can be done.

Example
In early day’s people use to have analog cameras witch used with negatives. But due to technical developments of the digital camera the demand for analog cameras as well as the demand for negatives has being reduced.

Buyers are contributing to the high growth rates in the consumer digital camera market. Digital camera sales are expected to reach 22.8 million in the US by the end of this year, a 42% growth over 2003. Also predicts that the average price of cameras is set to rise. These are due to the popularity of point and shoot cameras.

Earlier ABC Company engages the in development, manufacture, and marketing of traditional imaging products, services, and solutions worldwide. Recently there profits drop due to the arrivals of digital cameras.

I would like to take this changing business environment and the way they took decisions under the decision making-process to stay in the market.

Identifying problems-
Few years back ABC reported its fifth consecutive quarterly loss, ending a year in which the once-fabled company lost a head-spinning $1.4 billion on sales of $14.3 billion.

The management decide to have a decision making process to overcome this problem. They found out that this is due to the arrival of the digital camera. Digital cameras were easy to use, doesn’t need ordinary negatives. This gave a huge popularity for them.

After they identify the problem management of the company decide to have a solution to this serious matter. They continued with the process.

Identifying decision criteria-
Then they decide what are the relevant in solutions. They had to focus on the factors such as cost, features and market.

The cost of the solution product must be convenient for end users and well as the production cost for the company it self. Features must also be day to day and fulfill the human needs.

Allocating weight to the criteria-
In this step they study each alternative and measure them against list of criteria. They used their own priorities the criteria. Criterions were like,
Cost 20/100
Features 70/100
Market 10/100

Developing alternatives-
In this stage managers make alternatives for the problem. To increase there profits they can come up with number of alternatives,
Reducing manufacturing cost to gives that benefit to end user.
Come up with new technologies of film negatives
Develop there own digital camera.

Analyzing alternatives-
Scores are assigned according to there strengths and weaknesses then each alternative is list by the hierarchy.
Develop there own digital camera
Reducing manufacturing cost to gives that benefit to end user
Come up with new technologies of film negatives

Selecting alternatives-
Managers have to choose the best alternative one witch performed best against other alternatives. This is the critical part of the process.
The ABC company choose the first alternative witch is developed there own digital camera.

Implementing the decisions-
Then they implement there decision witch is developed there own digital camera. For that they open there own digital camera factory. Lincoln was the person who helps keep America from breaking apart and end slavery.

Young Lincoln
He was born on February 12th 1809 in Hardin county Kentucky. Lincoln’s parents were both born in Virginia.

Thompson Lincoln the father of Abraham was a farmer with a hard life got married to Nancy Hanks at age of 28. This marriage happened in 1806.

After the birth of their first child a daughter Sara in 1807, family moved to a farm witch bought by Thompson in sinking spring in Hardin County.

Lincoln family lived in a log cabin. This was a tiny one door house with a packed dirty floor. It was here that Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th 1809.

Two years after family moved to a new cabin in knob creek, Kentucky. Comparing to the time living in a log cabin was a normal thing. 89% of the white Americans used to live in one bedroom houses.

Due to a trouble over legal rights to his property Lincoln moved again to Indiana. The site where Thompson built his new cabin is the present Lincoln city Indiana.

Abraham’s mother died in 1818 due to a terrible disease known milk sickness. Nine years old Abraham helped to make his mothers coffin.

Two months after the death of Nancy, Thompson bought a new wife named Sara Bush Johnston. She was a widow of three children. Sara raises her step children as her own. As Abraham once describe her as her angel mother.

Lincoln went to school only for no longer than two years. At that time books and paper were scares. Young Lincoln had loved to read books where he walked long way to borrow books.

Young Lincoln spent his time clearing land and farming. Beside farming and clearing land he did other work. None of it was easy. He split rails for fences, cut fire wood.

He also built a small where he had an adventures voyage with a friend named Allen Gentry. Where they took a cargo of meat, corn and flour to new Orleans by Ohio and Mississippi rivers. After they sold there cargo and the boat they returned home by steamer.

This gave him a chance to discover the world out of the world he used to live.

This is the story behind young Abraham Lincoln. As future seekers we can take many important points that can help our own lives.

§ He was born to a hard living family
§ He spent his childhood in a one room cabin.
§ Though he had a passion to learn the life he spent gave him a chance only to school for less than one year.
§ For having young Lincoln had to do hard things.

Most of live in a life better than that once young Abraham Lincoln lived.
Our thought of the day is tat where ever you born who ever your parents are and what ever they do for living, if we have courage anyone can accomplished there goals.

New plans from Future Seekers
We have decided to take one successful character each week from Monday 18th of June and discuss there secrets behind success witch bought them to the present status.
